KUNIYAHAIR opened in Midtown East in 2018. The owner MASA grew up in a family of hairstylists, everyone except his father is a skilled hairstylist. He came to the US in 2014 after working in Japan and Australia. He has received numerous awards for his hair cuts, perms, and highlights in Japan. After studying and working in Japan he went to Australia to perfect his work on all different types of hair, expanding his work on caucasian hair, highlights and curly hair. After moving to the US he decided to open his own salon in New York City.
At KUNIYAHAIR , we offer made-to-order styles that best complement each individuals bone structure and hair type. At KUNIYAHAIR not only do we put careful thought into each hairstyle, we use carefully selected products from Japan and we teach you how to care for your hair at home as well. We are also very focused on chemical work, providing bleach and perms with as little damage as possible.
